As a young kid, we sometimes can feel a little bit left out, or like we feel like we’re different from our other friends and families. It takes a journey for us to realize ourselves, some friends and families can also be supportive to their friends and kids who are struggling to know who they are, maybe if they feel like they’re unique from others. But on the way, some people manage to find their happiness and do what they love to do. Some find unbelievable strength when they’re going through a situation.

The bright green van is rolling to the mountain, a family of four are excited to go camping.
Luna and Lumita are sisters on a camping trip with their mom Debbie and dad Max. They set up their tent on the west side of the mountain. Thirteen-year-old Luna and ten-year-old Lumita are really excited for their camping trip. Luna can’t wait to see the waterfall because it’s known for the scenery where there’s flowers blooming around the grass. The family set up their tent at the west side of the mountain.
Soon after they made their camp, they eat their lunch of rice with chicken and some broccoli. After they’re done eating, they wait for a while for their food to digest. Lumita looks around the campsite, breathing in the fresh air, and relaxes. Meanwhile, Mom and Luna are washing the dishes while Dad is having fun playing Word Search in the books that he brought for the camping trip.
A few minutes into the break, Luna looks to her parents with wide, giddy eyes. “Mom, Dad, can I go to the waterfall now?” asks Luna.
“Not yet, Luna, relax. It’s only been 5 minutes. The food isn’t fully digested yet,” says Mom.
“But I really really wanna go see the waterfall, Mom.”
“If you run to the waterfall now, your stomach will hurt. Why don’t you rest for a while?” suggests Mom.
“Aww, but I don’t like waiting,” says Luna.
Dad overhears Luna’s pleading and has an idea. “Luna?” calls Dad.
“Yes, Dad?”
“Do you mind helping me with my Word Search game? I’m having some trouble finding some words,” says Dad.
“Mom, can I…?” asks Luna.
“Go ahead, Luna,” says Mom, smiling.
Luna runs over to Dad and starts pointing out words for him to circle. By now, Mom has finished washing the dishes and can finally relax. When she happens to look out the van’s window, she sees Lumita swaying to the wind in the middle of the field. Mom smiles, seeing how happy Lumita is when she’s around nature.
“I think this might be where your interest lies, Lumita,” says Mom to herself.
